The tourism sector is one of the sectors with the most employment opportunities in Spain. This, combined with the new concept of healthy living and food, and the progression of gastronomy, and how we view it, towards the universe of creative cooking, have meant that the professions related to this sector are in high demand.
In the city of Burgos, there are several options for starting out in the culinary profession, and the Hotel Management and Catering Schools offer a noteworthy range of training and high quality teaching, which facilitates a step-by-step approach to the profession, as well as generating synergies with companies that know the work of the student first hand and increase employment opportunities.
In addition, through private initiatives, associated with non-profit organisations, there are increasing numbers of companies in Burgos that, through various professional alternatives linked to hotel and catering services, offer opportunities to the most disadvantaged to start a new life.
