These 13 routes across the province of Burgos invite the visitor to explore the whole area while enjoying art, culture, the landscape and of course the local produce.

Along these routes visitors will encounter the places where many of the most well-known products of this area’s gastronomy come from, such as morcilla, suckling lamb, olla podrida stew and the famous cheese, and others that are also commonly found in many kitchens across Burgos although perhaps not as well known, such as trout, the olla ferroviaria railway pot stew, or homegrown produce.

A highlight among the usual trips across this province are the wine tourism routes where you can get to know the tastes of the Ribera del Duero, Arlanza or the Chacolí.

It is an opportunity to get to know first-hand the areas that maintain many of the traditional recipes that today form part of the culture of these villages, and invite you to discover the ethnographic elements that even in the present day still help to prepare these products: wine presses, old wineries or dairies open their doors to visitors to show them how the best raw materials are used in the production process.

The flavour of these dishes, accompanied by the knowledge of their history, make each route a unique and unforgettable experience. Culinary routes.
