The 310 wineries that hold the Designation of Origin Ribera del Duero, over 100 of which are in the province of Burgos, offer a wide range of possibilities to suit all palates. Established in 1982 as a Designation of Origin but with an intricate tradition that goes back many centuries, Ribera del Duero is a synonym for quality. The route that the Arlanza river covers is one of the areas with the most winegrowing tradition but it was in the 20th Century that it reached its pinnacle. Since 2007, it has had the Designation of Origin Arlanza seal.<\/p>\n

The Tempranillo is the main variety used to produce it complemented by others such as Garnacha or Menc\u00eda.<\/p>\n

The quality of these wines comes from the contrast in temperatures from day to night, extraordinary soil and their cultivation on hillsides.<\/p>\n
